Across Mountains in Pakistan – slideshow

Opowie on nam (w języku angielskim) o swoich doświadczeniach związanych zarówno z górami, jak i z życiem codziennym w Pakistanie.

On Friday, April 14, at 7.30 p.m. we will host Faheem Tariq, a Pakistani who travels Europe as an AIESEC volunteer. He will tell us (in English language) about his experiences both connected with mountains, as well as those with daily live in Pakistan.

Please welcome Faheem:

Faheem Bin Tariq is a student of NED University in Pakistan. He is a Young Global Shaper at World Economic Forum and works as planning and policy consultant. He has been involved in youth empowerment programs for some last 15years and extensively traveled across Pakistan. He is on board of a project ‘Geo Initiative’ and had compiled the recommendations for conserving and safeguarding mountains in Pakistan for UNFCC COP-19 meet-up in Warsaw, Poland (2012). He also served as UNESCO Youth Ambassador to Pakistan. Faheem would take you through a journey to experience mountains in Pakistan which spread over some 300,000 kilometers square in his country.

“I have traveled across most of the mountains in Pakistan which covers around half of the country during different excursions, initially I was concerned about collecting the waste and filth left over these mountains by visitors and tourists (fortunately or unfortunately never just for sake of touring), soon started teaching and training young people to advocate for sustaining the beauty and environment of these mountains. Pakistan is an agricultural country with a lot of mountains which are a source of pleasure to visitors but also source of water or life to the country. It is great to have tourists, but always there is need for sustaining such places and I am just empowering people to do it. During presentation, I would share my experience of visiting these mountains and how does life looks like here and WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THESE MOUNTAINS”
